Drew Henmi is a standout emerging artist and producer, whose exceptional musicianship and unique sound have the power to transform your environment and mood. He is on an exciting trajectory upwards through in his genre, leaving his mark with his innovative and forward-thinking productions and songwriting.

 

Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, but now based in Honolulu, Hawaii, he manages to combine stunning melodies with dream-like soundscapes to create a catchy, yet direct and personal sound, in the vein of songwriters such as Lord Huron, Jason Mraz and Bon Iver.

 

His sound is personal and authentic, and it’s hard to constrain it in the usual genre categories. Drew’s most recent EP, “Begin Again,” is a great example of his sonic vision, marking a really unique step forward for this artist, whose sound is becoming increasingly more personal and defined, one release at a time. His music has been featured on multiple publications, including being named Music Insider's "Artist of the Month" in Dec. 2020.

 

His debut release Finding My Way EP, was incredibly well received. The record was also nominated for a 2019 Na Hoku Hano Hano award in the contest’s highly coveted “EP of the Year” category.
